- Register for SAT or ACT Test
- Begin creating list of colleges/universities
- Narrow down your list of schools to those you intend to apply to about 6-10 schools
- Register to take SAT or ACT Test in August or Fall
- Pick an Elite Tutoring Academy SAT/ACT Prep Program
♦Junior Year
- Strive for A’s and B’s
- Choose courses that will give you college credit
- Continue being involved and taking on leadership positions
- Take PSAT (October)
- Consider enrolling for additional SAT/ACT Prep instruction, either private or group
- Attend College Fairs
- Visit all the colleges you’re interested in attending
- Request letters of recommendations from teachers
♦Summer before Senior Year
- Finalize list of colleges that you are applying to
- Complete applications
- Continue being involved in activities
- Search for and complete applications for scholarships
♦Senior Year
- Submit all college applications
- Follow-up with applications
- Submit Financial Aid Forms
♦Senior Year – Spring
- Watch for notifications from colleges
- Make your final decision – MAY 1st
- Follow up with financial aid information
- Complete any enrollment paperwork, financial aid paperwork and housing paperwork
